1) Emma Bloom is able to control air even under water but floats up and away into the atmosphere due to her peculiar Air Floatation challenge. She must either wear lead boots to keep her safely on the ground or be tethered by rope when removing off her boots.

2) Claire Densmore has a second mouth hidden under her hair in the back of her head. She demonstrates by holding a turkey leg at the back of her head and chomping down. 

3) Millard Nullings is the invisible boy. He can only be seen when wearing clothes but even then his hands and head are always invisible.

One character wears long underwear for pajamas. Who is the boy in his union suit pj's?  

That boy is Hugh Apiston, played by actor Milo Parker

Why is his face partially covered in bees in the first photo?

Hugh as a little boy swallowed a bee so now whenever he speaks or opens his mouth for any reason, swarms of bees fly out, staying close to him as if he is a beehive.

He is pecular because in that he commands, communicates and protects bees that live in stomach through his mind. 

Why did the kids don gas masks? They live in 1943 at the height of Germany's bombing raids on England. In a loop to keep them always at the same age, the children go outside to see the deadly approach of a German aircraft that would drop deadly poison on the ground below.

One of the three main characters in this film is a 16 year old boy who finds a way to visit this remarkable home. Who is this young actor and what is the name of his character? 

He is Asa Butterfield who plays Jake Portman, an American teenager and Abe's grandson. Jake's grandfather, Abe Portman was one of the peculiar children taken in back in the 1940's.
